Covid-19 Relief Measures for Employers and Employees

The relief measures for operators and people affected by lockdown imposed in Thailand. The eligible groups are operators and their employees in 10 red-zones provinces which are Bangkok, Nakhon Pathom, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Samut Prakan, Samut Sakhon, Yala, Pattani, Narathiwat and Songkhla.

The eligible lists limited to those in 9 sections:

  1. Construction
  2. Accommodation and food services
  3. Arts, Entertainment, and recreational activities
  4. Other services as stated by the Social Security Office
  5. Wholesale and Retail
  6. Transportation and Warehouses
  7. Businesses, Administration and Service support
  8. Science and academic activities
  9. Information and communications

The Employers who hire workers under the social security system may get compensation equal to 3,000 baht per employee maximum up to 200 persons, but not more than 600,000 baht in total.  To check your eligibility please follow the link below:

The Employees who are covered under Section 33 will get compensation equal to half their salaries, but not more than 7,500 baht each. Thai nationals will also get an additional 2,500 baht, totalling not more than 10,000 baht each. During Covid pandemic, the Government will pay compensation at 2,500 baht per person by transferring to the bank account registered with PromptPay by ID Card.   • Employees receive THB 2,500 per person (Thai Nationality)
  • Employer: THB 3,000 per employee with maximum up to 200 persons
  • New Employer: The employer must register their employee to Section 33 within Jul 2021 to eligible above compensation



Remark: Document preparations for employer to submit to Social Security Office

The Company needs to receive the compensation documents from Social Security Office first. Company must prepare the TH form, which is signed by authorized employer, and send back to Social Security Office branch. The required documents are as follows:

  1. The form from SSO
  2. A copy of company bank account (Saving account)
  3. Etc. follow each branch area
