Ishan Shah

With more than 11 years of experience in International and Corporate tax, Ishan has earned extensive knowledge on tax consulting and planning.

Ishan started his career with international tax and transfer pricing in India and has worked with companies across several industries. He moved to Thailand in 2016 and has been advising multinational companies on their tax structures and planning. He strongly believes that tax planning is vital for all companies. He says, “tax is not just an expense for doing business, if planned well tax adds benefit in the growth of a company.” He has assisted several companies securing business permits in Thailand (like Board of Investment license, foreign business license, treasury center license).

He has represented numerous companies before tax authorities in India and Thailand. The cultural diversity has helped him grow professionally. Leveraging from his knowledge and experience from working across industries and geographies, he is skilled to support with formulation of valuable tax strategies and policies. He is a trusted advisor and has assisted several Thai public companies in formulating their tax and transfer pricing policy.

He has joined the tax team at BDO, to partner with dynamic companies and be a part of their growth journey. “Becoming a ‘tax advisor’ is an adventurous journey,” he says. “Providing wholistic support to companies since inception and seeing them grow, is gratifying.”
