Appointment of Mr Ishan Shah to the BDO in Thailand partnership

We are pleased to announce the admission to the partnership of Mr. Ishan Shah. Ishan will help lead our Taxation and Legal service offerings. With more than 15 years of experience in these fields, Ishan moved to Thailand in 2016 and has been advising multinational companies on their tax structures and assisted clients in securing business permits such as Board of Investment [BOI] promotions, foreign business licenses and treasury center licenses.

Since joining us in early 2021 Ishan has made a significant contribution to the growth of the firm and as our youngest partner his appointment attests to the firm’s desire to provide partnership opportunities to those who demonstrate that they can bring leadership skills and can strengthen our service offerings.

Ishan will be taking a lead role in various tax specialist matters such as:

• Transfer pricing.
• Supply chain restructuring.
• Tax optimisation on the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC); and
• Helping Start-up companies specifically in the technology industries.

Finally, Ishan will lead the development of a specialist Indian desk highlighting the growth of cross border work between the two countries.

On a personal note, Ishan enjoys activities that test his limits, be it physical or mental, for example, he competes in Spartan Races across Thailand.
