PHUKET, 3 March 2023: BDO in partnership with Hughes and Krupica held another quarterly breakfast business briefing at NH Boat Lagoon Phuket’s Hotels and Tourism update and what to look forward this 2023.
The line up of speakers at the event are known experts in the Hospitality and Tourism industry:
Bill Barnett, the founder and managing director of Asia-based C9 Hotelworks, is considered a globally recognized hospitality, tourism and real estate advisor. He gave an update on the tourism market in Phuket, key indicators impacting the outlook and important market trends.
Bjorn Courage, the President of Phuket Hotels Association (PHA), was also one of the speakers during the event. Founded in 2016, the Phuket Hotels Association is a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting the island of Phuket as a quality destination for international travelers from all walks of life. Bjorn gave some very interesting insights in to the hotel market and the current challenges and opportunities for hoteliers.
A significant matter hotels should be concerned about is sustainability. David Arell is an entrepreneur and champion of sustainability. During the briefing, he highlighted about why hotels should think of sustainable operations and deploy these in the business model moving forward.
