Quarterly Phuket breakfast briefing: Navigating tax and legal challenges of the Phuket property mark

Phuket, 1 September 2023: BDO in Thailand held a Quarterly Breakfast Briefing at NH Hotel Boat Lagoon Phuket, on Navigating tax and legal challenges of the Phuket property market.

Our speakers- Carlos Martinez MRICS, Director, Research and Consultancy of Knight Frank firstly gave an overview of the current situation of the property market and delivered key insights into the market outlook.
He was followed by Olaf Duensing, Duensing Kippen Legal who explained the legal challenges of acquiring property in Thailand including transactions of leases and key legal structure considerations for property developers. Finally, Khun Pakamon Charubhakti, Tax Partner of BDO in Thailand shared insights of tax planning considerations for developers, buyers and sellers when transacting on property including personal income tax obligations.
